SERVICES:

Griffin Imaging understands the needs of those who suffer from claustrophobia and strives to meet these needs with the compassion each patient deserves. Our Siemens Open MRI accommodates large patients, decreases anxiety in the claustrophobic patient and produces high quality images and fast scan times. It is designed with an extra-wide patient table and produces less noise than traditional closed machines. Our goal is a complete and comfortable scan with a minimum of anxiety. Board certified Radiologists and Neuroradiologists read the MRI scans and reports and films are available to the referring physician within 24 hours. A friend or family member is welcome to sit with the patient during their exam if necessary.

• Computerized Tomography (CT):
  CT scans performed by registered CT technologists provide detailed cross-sectional images showing the relationship between the area of interest and surrounding anatomy.
• Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI):
  MRI, Magnetic Resonance Imaging is a method used by our physician and Registered MRI Technologists to look inside the human body to obtain diagnostic information. It can help provide a quick and more accurate diagnosis for your physician which in some situations can reduce the need for exploratory surgery and other diagnostic procedures that may have associated risk. It provides comfort for the patient while delivering the consistently high-quality images needed for comprehensive diagnosis.
• Ultrasound:
  Certified ultrasonographers are specially trained on our advanced ultrasound imaging equipment to follow the course of pregnancies, determine abnormalities in developing babies, locate gallstones, and evaluate blood vessels along with other diagnostic uses.

RADIOLOGISTS:

Dr. Gay is the Medical Director of Griffin Imaging, LLC. which is located in Griffin, Georgia. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the A.B. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology as well as a Certified Clinical Densitometrist by the International Society of Clinical Densitometry. Previously, Dr. Gay served as Chief of Radiology at Spalding Regional Medical Center for 13 years, prior to accepting the full time onsite position of Medical Director for Griffin Imaging, LLC. He is also the Medical Advisor for the Radiologic Technology Advisory Committee at Griffin Technical College in Griffin, Georgia. Dr. Gay is heavily involved in the Griffin Community, as well as a long standing active volunteer for the Flint River Council, Boy Scouts of America. He also volunteers his time for The Salvation Army.
