Milledgeville Imaging Center is an outpatient diagnostic facility that takes pride in offering our patients a “different MRI Experience.” Our .3 Tesla Hitachi Aries II is an Open Scanner and accommodates claustrophobic and large built patients. A friend or family member is welcome to sit with the patient. Our facility is proud to offer the latest in CT imaging technology as well. We are a relaxed environment and offer our patients a professional and friendly atmosphere.

MRI, magnetic Resonance Imaging, is a method used by our physicians and MRI technologists to look inside the human body to obtain diagnostic information. Diagnostic Imaging Services

Milledgeville Imaging Center offers same day scheduling as well as fax scheduling. Our calm, comfortable atmosphere allows for your experience to be relaxing and our open MRI scanner accommodates claustrophobic and large built patients.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): Open MRI, Magnetic Resonance Imaging is a method used by our physician and Registered MRI Technologists to look inside the human body to obtain diagnostic information. It can help provide a quick and more accurate diagnosis for your physician reducing the need for exploratory surgery and other diagnostic procedures that may have associated risk. It provides comfort for the patient while delivering the consistently high-quality images needed for comprehensive diagnosis.

Computerized Tomography (CT): CT scans performed by registered CT technologists provide detailed cross-sectional images showing the relationship between the area of interest and surrounding anatomy.

Ultrasound: Certified technologists are specially trained on our advanced ultrasound imaging equipment to follow the course of pregnancies, determine abnormalities in developing babies, locate gallstones, and evaluate blood vessels along with other diagnostic uses.

Radiologist

Frederick S. Falchook, M.D., completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at University of Miami/Jackson memorial hospital, where he served as Co-Chief Resident. He also completed a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology at Emory University in Atlanta. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology. He is a partner with Oconee Radiology Associates, covering multiple hospitals in central Georgia.

Laurence A. Steinfield, M.D., completed his Diagnostic Radiology Residency and Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology. He is partner with Oconee Radiology Associates, covering multiple hospitals in central Georgia.

John H. Penuel, M.D. attended University of Miami School of Medicine and completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology with additional training in Body Imaging at MetroHelath Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He served as Co-Chief Resident. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology and is currently working with Oconee Radiology Associates covering multiple hospitals in central Georgia.

Dr. William Anthony (Tony) Willoughby graduated from Davidson College and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Willoughby is certified by the American Board of Radiology.
